Doctor, this is why I love you. Right here.

Vincent van Gogh was a man who is somewhat famous for his mental instability. He later ended his own life. For the Doctor to go and show him that his art mattered, and that his existence mattered…is amazing. And I wish someone could have shown this amazing artist how much he contributed to the world.

I wish the Doctor could show everyone how they mattered, because everybody does matter. In our own small way, we change the world simply by existing.

I will always, always, ALWAYS reblog this when it’s on my dash.

his face never fails to bring a lump to my throat

This is why Vincent and the Doctor is my favorite episode of Who ever.

To me, Van Gogh is the finest painter of them all.Certainly, the most popular, great painter of all time, the most beloved. His command of color the most magnificent. He transformed the pain of his tormented life into ecstatic beauty.Pain is easy to portray, but to use your passion and pain to portray the ecstasy and joy and magnificence of our world…no one had ever done it before. Perhaps, no one ever will again. To my mind, that strange, wild man who roamed the fields of Provence was not only the world’s greatest artist, but also one of the greatest men who ever lived

I would just like to share with you that I also think Vincent and The Doctor might be my favorite episode ever. That is all.

It’s pretty great, innit? It has all the right elements: The Doctor being wacky, a cool monster, Amy being Amy, a neat guest star, a great period set/costuming, and a heartwarming ending.

It seems to me there’s so much more to the world than the average eye is allowed to see. I believe, if you look hard, there are more wonders in this universe than you could ever have dreamt of.

This is so great. I think Vincent and the Doctor might be my favorite episode of Who of all time.
